Our Parish has a Rich History
1951
St Theresa’s Church and school were built as part of Our Lady’s Sunshine. The Sisters of Joseph started St Theresa’s school and taught there for the next 30 years.
Mid 50's
Mother of God School and Church, along with Queen of Heaven Church were established when the Marist Fathers came to West Sunshine. They established a parish that included West Sunshine, Ardeer & Deer Park. Mother of God School was opened by the Brigidine Sisters who were involved at the school until 2000.
1969
St Theresa’s Albion was separated from Our Lady’s Sunshine and became a new Parish.
1974
Mother of God School and Church, along with Queen of Heaven, joined St Theresa’s to form the parish we have today.
