WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK REQUIREMENTS
Clergy, employees and volunteers in our parish hold a position of trust in our communities,
irrespective of whether the role involves direct, indirect or no contact with children and young
people. Our blanket approach ensures that we all stand united in creating safe environments for
children and young people, and demonstrates our commitment to excluding persons who pose
an obvious risk to children and young people.
All clergy, employees and volunteers over the age of 18 years old are required to maintain a
current Working with Children Check (WWCC) throughout their involvement at St Joseph's and
St Bernadette's, Boronia Parish.

POLICE CHECKS
Parishioners involved in ministries need to have one or both of a ‘Working With Children’ or Police Check,
in accordance with the Melbourne Archdiocese recommendations, depending on the nature of the ministry.
All checks are submitted via the Parish Office.
