General Information for Reconciliation
The Program
To assist you in preparing your child to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time we offer the following program:
General Information session – Tuesday 20th February at 5pm-6pm – venue- St Gregory the Great School- Parish Room. This session is for all children preparing for any of the Sacraments and their parents. This will also include specific information and the first part of preparation for Reconciliation.
Commitment Mass
All children preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist or Confirmation will make their commitment as candidates at Mass on Wednesday 28th February at 5pm at St Gregory’s Parish Church.
Reconciliation Workshop - Wednesday March 6th 6pm – St Greg’s Parish Hall
Preparation Classes – FOR CHILDREN NOT ATTENDING OUR PARISH SCHOOL
All children will attend four catechist classes with at least one parent. Children should bring the Family Activity booklet and a pencil case to each session.
Day: Tuesdays Time: 5pm- 6pm
Dates: February 20, 27, and March 5, 12
Place: St Gregory the Great School- Parish Room
Celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation
6-30- 7.30pm on Tuesday March 19th in St Gregory the Great Parish Church
Dress: There is no set dress (neat casual is okay).
Photography / Videos: To respect the sacred nature of both the Liturgy and the Sacrament the use of mobile phones, cameras and videos during the Children’s reconciliation is not permitted.
Age of Candidate
Normally Grade 3 and above. All candidates must be baptised and have evidence of their Baptism.
Catechetical Fees: $100 per child per Sacramental program. This fee assists in covering costs of running the program, materials provided, certificates, administration etc. Please include fee with the registration form and Baptismal Certificate.

General Information session – Tuesday 20th February at 5pm-6pm – venue- St Gregory the Great School- Parish Room. This session is for all children preparing for any of the Sacraments and their parents. This will also include specific information and the first part of preparation for Reconciliation.

Tuesdays : 5pm- 6pm Place: St Gregory the Great School- Parish Room
Dates: April 16, 23, 30, - May 7, 14, + Sunday 19 May 5pm Mass and rehearsal
Celebration of the Sacrament of Eucharist – Sunday May 26th at 5pm in St Gregory the Great Parish Church
Dress: Children should be dressed in clothing that marks the day as a special occasion. There is no set dress.
