Welcome to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hampton East

SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY.

We consider the safety and wellbeing of all persons to be our highest priority. We too acknowledge that children, young people and adults at risk may require additional safeguards to promote their participation, wellbeing and safety.

Clergy, employees and volunteers are committed to upholding the right to safety of all persons. They must participate in creating a culture of safety supported by policies, practices and procedures that strive to prevent abuse in the first instance and to respond appropriately and effectively if abuse does occur. We respect the human dignity of each person and strive to create an inclusive and welcoming Church that enables its people to grow and develop in their faith freely and in a caring and supportive environment.

My dear parishioners

Following the announcement by the Chief Health Officer, face coverings are now required for indoor gatherings (except in the home) for people aged eight and over, or for those with medical exemptions.

There are now no number limits or vaccination requirements in relation to attending Mass. There will not be a Covid Check-in Marshall to greet you in the Narthex or any check in or vaccination requirements.

The archdiocese has advised that at Mass, all parishioners should continue to register their attendance by using either their phone and the Government QR code, or, for those who don’t use the Government QR code, by recording their name and phone number on the paper “attendance roll” on the table.

Church Capacity

There will be no attendance number limits and collections will be able to be resumed.

You are all in my prayers.

Fr Vittorio Ricciardi PP
