Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting St Agnes' Catholic Church, Highett online. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

OLA FETE - NOVEMBER 2024

Calling all plant lovers and green thumbs! The plant stall is one of the most successful and most loved stalls at our fete. This year we need your help to make sure it is blooming and bigger than ever.

We are looking for people who can:

• Donate indoor/outdoor plants, indoor/ outdoor plant pots (can be creative) or source donations for the stall; or

• Propagate plants that you may have in your garden/home to donate to the fete. Even if it is just a few – every little bit helps.

If you can assist, please contact Alysha on 0404 283 615.

JAMS & PRESERVES

Once again, our Fete Cake Stall will seek donations of jams, curds, oils and preserves. These items are always very popular so please make as many jars as you can. Any questions, contact Kara Bogicevic on 0409 353 957.

GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY 2024

This Sunday we celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday – the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Pope Francis reminds us that: There can be no greater joy than to risk one’s life for the Lord! Let us not be deaf to the Lord’s call. If he calls you to follow this path, do not pull your oars into the boat, but trust him. Let us pray for the young people in our community, and in our families and circle of friends. May our prayers help them to be open to the Lord’s call to the consecrated life or to priesthood.
