FILIPINO COMMUNITY & SENIOR CITIZENS: There is a Filipino Mass in the Church on the 2nd Sunday of the month. After the Mass we get together in the Church foyer for lunch, to know one another, especially the new migrants. The Senior Citizens group organises social outing trips. GODSTART: The GodStart team visit the homes of children baptised in our parish on their 1st and 2nd Birthdays with birthday cards, greetings and information from the Parish and hold 3rd and 4th birthday parties run by the GodStart Team. Contact Ruth on 9407 6704.
ITALIAN VISITING GROUP: Every 2 weeks we visit Bethel Nursing home, providing care, conversation and comfort to the residents. Contact Teresa Blasioli on 0401 789744.
JESUS YOUTH PRAYER GROUP: Jesus Youth is an International Association within the Catholic Church with a focus on evangelising young people and nurturing their missionary initiatives. They meet every Thursday at 7 pm in the Chapel. Contact Lovely John on 0411 208 706.
LEGION OF MARY: They are available to bring Our Lady’s statue to homes on Monday/Tuesday evenings to pray the Rosary with families, their friends and neighbours and visit the sick and elderly during the day time. MEN’S ‘MEAT AND GREET’ GROUP: It allows Men to get together in a relaxed environment and share a meal (Generally Meat, hence the spelling of our group name) and socialise with a few activities to encourage building stronger relations in the Parish and encourage men to involve their sons to participate. MINISTRY TO THE SICK AND ELDERLY: The priests and ministers regularly visit the homes of those in need and nursing homes within the parish. If you know someone who is sick or in need of Anointing or Holy Communion, please contact one of the priests or the parish office.
MUSIC MINISTRY: Our Parish Choirs sing at weekend Masses, aiming to encourage the congregation to participate in worship. They provide music for special occasions. At Christmas our parish choirs sing Carols at local shopping centres and some sing at aged-care homes. PASSIONIST FAMILY GROUP: Family groups live the faith in concrete circumstances of their lives. Members aim to get to know other members of the Parish, to involve our children, and to support each other in joys and sorrows thus building the Christian community. Members meet monthly.
