Upcoming Events

Covid 19 – Update for Parishioners, 19th October 2021.

Masses are resuming on the weekend of 23/24th October 2021

Please note that bookings will be necessary for a few weeks

and that proof of vaccination will be required.

Dear Parishioners,

As you are aware the Victorian Chief Health Officer and the Victorian Government has announced the easing of restrictions and the lifting of the lock-down for Greater Metropolitan Area from 11.59 pm on Thursday 21st October 2021.

This is very welcome and exciting news and all Victorians should be very proud of this great outcome, especially for our parish community.

As a result of this announcement, please note the following advice on how our parish will  re-open this weekend to celebrate Holy Mass.

To enable greater numbers, our Masses will be celebrated outdoors at the under-croft at SPJE School for 50 people (children over 1 year are included in these numbers).

All attendees must be fully vaccinated.

Please ensure that you wear warm clothing as it may be cold.

We need to strictly apply these numbers to keep our church open and ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Bookings are essential and must be registered by midday on Saturday 23rd October for all three Masses. Please remind family and friends who do not have access to computers of this requirement, as people without bookings will not be admitted.

Parishioners are required to provide proof of full vaccination. This can be done with the Services Victoria App when checking in [requires prior setup], a downloaded digital copy displayed on a phone, or a printed certificate. Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to Mass starting to complete the registration process.

Please do not contact Father Joseph directly to book for Mass as three parish leaders will be undertaking these registrations and you may miss out.

Please either text or phone

6.00pm Mass on Saturday - Bernadette Brown on 0447 743 138

9.00am Mass on Sunday - Margaret Vallence on 0403 568 302

11.00am Mass on Sunday - Adriana De Leo on 0493 071 811

Our Covid Safe Plan must be adhered to as these rules still apply; masks must be worn indoors and outdoors at all time (unless you have an approved medical exemption) with social distancing and hand sanitising to be strictly maintained.

To access the under-croft at SPJE school, please drive through the gates in Reay Road, and veer left and you will directed to the appropriate parking spaces.

We acknowledge that the rules around re-opening may be challenging for some parishioners, but it is hopeful that we will be back in our church in the coming weeks.  We thank you for your support, patience and understanding as we gradually take the safe steps to what may be a “Covid Normal” moving forward. The parish leadership team is so excited to be welcoming our parish family back to our church; however we believe these limited re-opening measures will be in place for the next few weeks.

 God Bless

Father Joseph and the Parish Leadership Team
