St Thomas More Social Club
Varies - see Seasons for latest details
Each month a member of the STM Social Club hosts a social event which all are welcome to attend. These events are advertised in the Parish Bulletin, please consult Seasons for this months activity. There are also welfare officers assigned as a resource to help guide members of our community to the support they need. Details in Seasons

If you require assistance from Vinnies - for example food, clothing, assistance with bills or personal needs, a visit from our local conference can be arranged by contacting the care line on 1300 794 054 Monday to Friday, 9am - 1pm. New volunteers are welcome to join our local Vinnies Conference. Members meet once a month and regularly visit the needy in our local area providing care and support. Local Conference meetings are generally scheduled for the second Monday of the Month - details are published in Seasons. If you wish to be involved with Volunteering at a Vinnies Store, contact the local Store Manager for further details.
 

Church and Grounds Care and Maintenance

Working Bee

Twice a year in March and November the Parish schedules a working bee. All are welcome to join in helping around the site with gardening, cleaning and general maintainence. For further details please contact the Parish Office
 

Parish Facilities for Hire

Undercroft and School Hall
Parish Office or St Thomas More School
The large hall located at the bottom of the property is administered by St Thomas More School and with their busy schedule is generally not available for hire. Contact St Thomas More School on 9787 7778 for further details. The Parish Undercroft and Parish Centre are available for Parish groups, and enquiries can be made for hireage to outside groups. Contact the Parish Office for further details.

Readers/ Proclaimers of the Word
Parish Office
Pope Francis recently said "The word of God is alive and gives life". Parishioners share the important task of proclaiming the word of God at each Mass. New readers are welcome to join the roster by contacting the Parish Office
Welcoming Committee
Joseph Sayah
A regular roster of Parishioners are scheduled at the 10am Mass to welcome visitors to the Parish, provide bulletins and answer any questions. They also assist with serving morning tea after Mass. For more details or to volunteer, please contact Joseph Sayah
Musicians
Parish Office
At most 10am Masses Parishioners volunteer to lead the community in singing the parts of the Mass and hymns. If you would like to join the choir, rehearsals music practices take place on one Thursday each month at 4pm to prepare for the following 10am Sunday Mass. Karen Smith is the co-ordinator of the choir. If you are able to sing or play a musical instrument, new musicians are always welcome. Kindly contact the Parish Office for further details
The Altar Society
Parish Office
A small team of parishioners looks after the sacristy, altar linens, flowers and prepares the Church for significant feasts such as Christmas and Easter. If you would like to learn more the Parish Office can put you in touch with the co-ordinator
 

Social Activities

Fellowship after 10am Sunday Mass
After the 10am Sunday Mass there is tea, coffee and refreshments are available. You are most welcome to stop by and chat with other Parishioners, and enjoy some of the goodies provided by members of our community
St Thomas More Dinner
Parish Office
Each year the Parish hosts a Sunday lunch for Parishioners around the feast day of our Parish Patron - St Thomas More. Details will be advised regarding the next celebration in June 2023
