Ministry

As the teaching of our Church says, the point of our Ministry in the Church is “to carry forward the work of Christ under the lead of the befriending Spirit”.

Ministry is needed so that we can “carry forward the life of Christ under the lead of the befriending Spirit”.

Safeguarding Training "How Too"

All Ministers please ensure you have completed the online training model of the Archdiocese Safeguarding Training if you could not attend one of the events held:

Use this link https://safeguarding.melbournecatholic.org/s/login/?ec=302&startURL=%2Fs%2F

1. You will need to enter your WWCC number or VIT number for registration.

2. Work through each section and complete all assessment materials.

3. When all is completed you will attain a certificate with your name on it.

Forward this certificate to the Parish Office so we can enter your particulars in the Parish Records. stalbans@cam.org.au

This is a 3 yearly requirement, along with the Parish Code of Conduct, copies of this are in the Sacristy at Sacred Heart/Emmaus or Parish office if you are needing to read and sign off.

Applying for WWCC (working with children check) steps:

Visit this webpage on your computer: https://wwcv.auspost.com.au/

In the first step - Verify at the Post office (the online verification rarely works!)

Make sure to put down that you are a volunteer (its free of Charge)
